This morning we did our presentations. We had to present our project about our geography computer game. We also had to talk about core values, which are part of First Lego League. We made a massive poster which showed how we have followed FLL core values and all the things we have learned over the year of doing the challenge. We also had to talk about our robot and show the judges what programming and attachments we have used to do the challenges.
Our cardboard cutout of the Queen went with us because we thought it would be fun to take her into our presentations and make the judges smile. They have a lot of presentations to watch! When we were queuing up for our presentations people outside the building could see us through the window and started taking photographs of the Queen.
In the afternoon we got the chance to practice with our robot on the tables. We had 3 lots of 10 minutes on the practice tables and 3 goes on the main tables.
It isn't very much time to get the robot working properly and fix attachments. We had lots of problems with the engagement mission and with calibrating the light sensor. We weren't allowed to use the laptop to calibrate the sensors at the table, but we did our best. Later one of the teams showed us a program that we might be able to use to calibrate the sensor so we are going to try it tomorrow. Thank you!
